FC Halifax Town U19’s were back in action at the Wyke Community Sports Village against York City in a 2PM kick off.

A match that Jack Garside’s boys did not manage to win as they lost 3-1 to York City with the only goal for Town coming from Filipe to open the scoring in the match.

A hard defeat that puts the U19’s bottom of the table on zero points in the NLFA North Division.

Town U19’s coach Jack spoke after the game, “Frustratingly I find myself repeating comments from previous weeks. The lads executed the game plan first half, especially from our high press but then failed to punish the opposition.”

He concluded, “We could have been three or four goals up at half time if we showed more composure and quality in front of goal. Second half York made their changes who impacted the game but three shots on target cannot lead to three goals conceded, we will review the footage as individuals and units and look ahead to training to support the players to learn from it.”
