FC Halifax Town U19s continue impressive start to the season with a 3-1 win away at Gateshead.

After going behind in the first half, the Shaymen responded with a stellar second half to take home all three points in their second game of the season.

Last season’s runners up Gateshead took the lead in the first half with Town unable to find a response to their early goal as the home side had control of proceedings

Manager Jack Garside’s half time team talk, and substitutions proved to be vital as Halifax Town’s Fin Munro and Sam Finch put Town 2-1 in front 5 minutes after play resumed.

The game was soon put out of sight as Max Walker scored Halifax Town’s third goal within the first 15 minutes of the second half to give Town the comfort blanket that they needed.

A dominant second half display saw Halifax Town running out 3-1 winners in a performance that showed great character when faced with adversity.

A brilliant start to the season means Halifax Town sit at the top of the Alliance North Division.
