FC Halifax Town U19’s academy teams were back in action this Wednesday, with two academy teams at home whilst the other team playing away against Boston United.
A very successful week for the teams after last week’s mixed results as all the teams came out victorious.
In the NFLA division, Jack Garside’s team travelled to Boston to play Boston United and won the match 0-4. A much-needed victory that takes them a point away from coming out of 13th place, which is the last.
A win that Garside reacted to by saying, “Brilliant Performance. We worked hard for the first half and fixed the press, and the issues Boston caused us the first 20 minutes. From then on was a mature performance, scored four goals which one was a spectacular overhead kick, but Lewis Barlow and the boys also kept the ball and controlled the game much better than in previous weeks.”
The Division H league academy team went on and beat Oldham 4-2 in the match that took place at Calderdale College whilst the National football youth league team beat Yorkshire Amateurs 4-1.
Victories that the lads will look forward to carrying on with.
