U19s Progress In FA Youth Cup

FC Halifax Town U19s have progressed to the next round of FA Youth Cup on penalties in thrilling victory on Wednesday night.
Fin Munro slotted home the winning penalty in an end-to-end tie, which ended 3-3 after a last-minute equaliser by Ossett.
Halifax broke the deadlock early through Sam Finch, after a cross found him at the back post, putting the away side 1-0 up.
The away side kept pushing, creating two or three chances to put the team 2-0 up but they were unable to find the finishing touch.
Callum Nicholson forced a good save from the keeper after he had a chance from a corner.
Ossett found a way back into the game after a defensive error saw the home side equalise.
Almost instantly, Halifax re-established their lead after a long ball found its way to Finch in the
35th minute, in which he put it the ball in the back of the net.
The second half started with the game becoming scrappier, with not a lot of football being played, a lot of long balls and turnovers.
Late on, Ossett found the equaliser, bringing the score level to 2-2 in the 85th minute.
Soon after, Substitute Max Walker restored the lead for Halifax, after a left footed finish under the keeper which made the score 3-2 in the 90th minute.
Halifax had thought they had won it, however Ossett somehow found an equaliser in the 96th minute from a corner, taking the game to penalties.
Kobe Mathers pulled out two quality penalty saves, with Fin Munro capitalising on this and slotting home the winning penalty.
Halifax progress after a 4-3 win on penalties.
Next week Halifax face Blyth Spartans at home in the NLFA North Division on Wednesday 8th October.
