A 2-2 result meant that the points were shared in the NLFA North Division match between FC Halifax Town U19 and Chester on Wednesday. Although the result keeps Town at the bottom of the table, it was a well earned point against a great side and gives the Shaymen a platform to work on as they travel to Blyth next week.

Two goals from Ryan Bailey and a goal from Barney Wiggin ensured that Town's U19s beat Oldham on Wednesday as they moved up to third with a 3-1 win in the Alliance League “H”. The result was Town's fifth consecutive league victory and leaves them in a great place to challenge for the title.

Wednesday's National Youth League North West Championship game between Burnley and Town's U19 was postponed, leaving the Shaymen sixth in the league with the match to be played at a later date.
