A first half goal from Lucas Hart saw FC Halifax Town U19s take all three points in the Alliance Division One fixture.

Town tarted the game on top, the home side had lots of possession early on, without being inflicting on the back four.

Chorley started to grow into the game as the half went on, with the away side almost breaking the deadlock after hitting the post in the 35th minute.

A quick breakaway saw Halifax take the lead in the 43rd minute after Louie Walker’s strike hit the bar and Lucas Hart slotted home the rebound, his second in two games.

The score at half-time was 1-0 with Halifax holding the advantage.

The second half saw Chorley make a tactical change, as they looked to go longer and win second balls, putting Halifax under pressure.

Chorley carried on putting pressure on Halifax, who were now looking to soak in the pressure and score on the break.

The match ended with Halifax holding out for a strong 1-0 win.

There is no fixture next week as the scheduled opposition are competing in the FA Youth Trophy.
